The Rainbow Centre

The Rainbow Centre was taken over by the local community in 2012, led by a partnership of local organisations – The Somali Family Support Group, BCVYS and Barnet Community Projects.

They formed the Rainbow Centre User Group (RCUG) so that the centre could stay open for local activities and services for all ages.

Barnet Community Projects manages the day-to-day running of the centre on behalf of the RCUG.

We offer a range of regular activities and services, from a toddler group to youth sports to a money advice service, working with many local partners.

Past activities and services include:

  • the SWITCH skatepark
  • job club
  • Acorn2Oaks arts and crafts
  • football
  • street dance
  • Bingo
  • film screenings
  • salsa dancing
  • flower arranging
  • community kitchen
  • social care courses
  • an Albanian Saturday school
