As a mechanic, you’ll make it your job to master the insides of machines, usually in the form of equipment or vehicles.

The two key types of mechanic you can be are:

• Vehicle mechanic (also called a car mechanic, motor vehicle technician or service technician)
• Construction plant mechanic
