DayMer Turkish and Kurdish Centre

The centre runs a youth service comprising practical support and advice for young people, after-school and weekend clubs, regular social activities and youth residential for around 500 school and college students and employed/unemployed young people.

The youth services are tied in with the services of the centre and are run by its Youth Committee made up of young people who meet regularly to discuss issues affecting them, ranging from education and employment to youth cultural sessions, to issues identified through advice and education services. 

Youth residentials 

Day-Mer has organised youth camps for many years now and can proudly say they have almost nailed it to be perfect. The camp itself helps to unite the youth to come together to inform and learn about the past, present and future.

Advice & information centre

A centre based information, advice and guidance and effective referral service specifically for Turkish, Kurdish and Cypriot Turkish young people. You’ll also be able to get advice on education, training and employment, health, family and relationship matters. 

The voice of the youth 

Webtv program aims to provide a platform to youngsters to express their views on all walks of life. ?t also gives them the opportunity use technology to reach to a wider audience.

Workshops: 

Regular youth group activities and information workshops n a range of different issues affecting young people take place, recently including the digital skills development, CV and personal statement writing.
