Kingston Women’s Centre is run by women for women. We welcome women from all backgrounds of all ages from the local community.
We aim to provide a safe confidential space where you can talk about anything in your life that may be uncomfortable, confusing or painful without fear of judgement.
We provide counselling on a weekly basis for up to two years.
Our counselling helps in different ways:
- Manage difficult feelings
- Find new ways of relating to yourself and others
- Support you through life crises or life changes
There are many reasons to seek counselling such as:
Anger issues, anxiety, bereavement, childhood sexual abuse, difficult childhood experiences, domestic abuse, depression, identity issues, life changes / life crisis, panic attacks, pregnancy and parenting issues, relationship difficulties, sensitivity and shame, trauma, work-related issues.
Volunteer with us
Volunteers play an important role at Kingston Women’s Centre, they contribute not only with skills but by giving their time for free to ensure we can maintain affordable sessions for the women we serve. Please contact us via email detailing the amount of time and type of work you are interested in.
