Choices at 16 - Haringey Youth Space

Haringey Early Help Service offers support, advice, guidance and information to all young people between the ages of 16 to 19 on a range of post-16 opportunities in education, training and employment.

We also offer advice on other issues such as housing, health and finances etc.

We have a number of professionals with a variety of skills who can help you with advice and guidance as well as employment support for those looking for work.

Haringey Youth Space support 16-19 year olds and up to 25 years if a young person has additional learning needs.  The service is for young people who needs support in the following areas:

  • Careers advice
  • Employment support
  • Apprenticeships advice and support
  • CV and interview support
  • Support in applying to College and university
  • Housing and benefit advice

The Care to Learn scheme provides funding for childcare to help young parents (defined as those aged under 20) continue in education after the birth of a child.

The scheme provides funding for childcare whilst the young parent is engaged in a study programme. It can also be used to help with travel costs involved in taking the child to the childcare provider.
