Centre Point - Islington Jobcentre Referrals

Traineeships help young people to gain the skills and qualifications they need in order to secure an apprenticeship or a job.

The programme includes functional skills such as Maths, English and IT, as well as employability skills such as teamwork and effective communication.

Crucially, the course also covers soft skills such as presentation, attendance and punctuality to prepare young people to maintain a job long term.  

One day each week 10am– 4.00pm.

For 1 month – 3 months including work placement with guaranteed interviews Award in Employability skills:  

  • Deciding on the Right job for you
  • Dealing with your first days at work
  • Understanding Mind-set 

Meet with prospective employers with opportunities in:

  • Reception
  • Retail
  • Business Admin
  • Hospitality
  • Security
  • Construction

We pay for both course and card             

To inform your work-coach of your interest in this opportunity by clicking 'I want to go', you must meet this criteria:

  • Be in receipt of Universal Credit 
  • Be resident in Islington
  • Be aged 18-21 (check with your work coach)
