OBC Youth Club

The OBC is a registered charity with a history of serving the community for over 120 years.
Based in Bermondsey South East London, the primary focus of our work is the provision of youth activities promoting social & personal development for young people.

Through youth led discussion groups and consultation the OBC have introduced a non-formal educational curriculum to support the developmental needs of young people in this current climate of change. Young people are the driving force behind the curriculum and programs being delivered. 3 out of 4 weekly sessions will be curriculum based with young people being able to choose to participate in one or more curriculum area/s.

Universal Youth Provision 11 - 19yrs+ MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS & FRIDAYS 6.45pm to 9.15pm.

The following curriculum areas have been identified as priority areas of need: Economic Currency, Political Dialogue, Personal Development, Sports Development

In order to support the development of curriculum areas, young people and youth workers came up with the following programs.

Mondays: Life skills, having a voice and being heard.

Wednesdays: Discussion forum where young people can discuss, explore, and thrive using dialogue to develop the self through learning from others.

Fridays: A sport based program where young people will learn and become involved in playing a variety of sports
