Islington Giving - Local Funders For Youth Project

Hundreds of people who live in, work in, and care about Islington choose to give with us each year. Alongside our neighbours, we harness this generosity, using money, time, ideas, space and networks given by local people to create positive change.

We help local organisations apply for funding through our grants programmes, and work with them to design new ways of tackling complex challenges in our borough. We’re not afraid to try new things, and invest in partners and projects which are here for the long term.

We award grants to inspiring local organisations working to change lives for good in Islington.

Currently available grants include:

  • A call for project proposals by Islington Giving’s Supporting Families Resident Panel:

We are inviting applications for projects that engage and empower isolated parents/carers.
We want to fund work that will reduce the likelihood of families facing crisis by offering social, emotional and community support as well as opportunities for parents to improve their practical skills.
Projects must be for parents or carers of children under 18 (or under 30 if they have a child living with any type of disability). Support can be offered in groups or on a 1:1 basis (in a home or community setting) delivered by professionals or peers or a combination of both.

  • Make It Happen Fund:

Do you have an idea for a project that could benefit your community? If so, the Make It Happen Fund, is for you.
This fund is the result of a partnership of a few local organisations. The Fund will provide grants of up to £500 to groups of residents or small organisations already working in the community to help you do the things you care about. Projects should aim to make residents happier, healthier and more connected.
