Blackfriars Settlement is a registered charity based in London SE1 for over 130 years that aims to create and provide community services and support. Whether you want to learn new skills or to have fun and make friends, we have something to suit you.

All of our work is guided by five aims:

  • Promoting physical and mental well-being and independence for all
  • Promoting learning and development - formal and informal

The Mental Health and Well-being Service @ Blackfriars Settlement will continue to offer our Thinking Ahead programme of free online zoom activities, helping you to stay connected and be active.
We promote well-being through person-centred personal development. Whether you are looking for a training and development pathway or prefer a less structured environment including peer support, there will be something here to help you develop skills and confidence. Thriving art sessions come as standard!

Our positive ageing services are buzzing with life, fun and laughter with an activities program to suit all. We offer information, advice and support in warm, friendly surroundings. Your needs are our priority.

We host City UoL Advice Clinic at Blackfriars, providing free legal advice for two areas of law: Employment law and Housing
Advice is given every Wednesday evening, 18:30 - 20:30, by appointment only. We are currently closed and are offering telephone appointments.

Art2Print Studio is a professional graphic design studio that delivers high quality graphic design to commercial clients.
Art2Print Studio is unique in that people with experience of mental health issues are our designers. We offer a professional service with original creative high quality designs and also provide training and work experience.
Our mission is to provide opportunities for people who have experienced mental health issues, to gain confidence and skills to move into employment or further training.
