Volunteer It Yourself (VIY) is a national Community Interest Company/Social Enterprise that challenges and enables young people (as volunteers) to refurbish and renovate places and spaces they use and value, for example, youth clubs, community centres and grassroots sports clubs.  

Each participant will benefit in a number of ways:

• Gaining site-based work experience with specialist tradespeople
• Mentoring in carpentry skills and broader skills development
• Opportunity to work towards an Entry Level 3 City and Guilds accreditation
• Links to further opportunities with their trade sector partners

Who is it aimed at?

• Young people with an interest in a career in the trades and construction industry.
• Aged 14-24 years old.
• Not in employment, education or training
