Salaam Peace

Salaam Peace is a community engagement programme that uses sports and social education to bring people together from diverse backgrounds.

A lot of changes occur during late adolescence and young adulthood (aged 16-25), and our Young Adults resources are here to help young adults navigate this challenging period. We deliver currently sports, mentoring and employment programmes which enable young adults to learn, develop, deal with challenges and fulfil their potential.

  • Female Fitness: A female-only fitness project led by qualified female instructors.
  • U23s Football: Using football to enable young BAME men to overcome social isolation, gang activity, and inactivity.
  • Mentoring: Mentors assigned by matching interests, personalities, and demographics.
  • Employment: Promising participants have the opportunity to join community champions pathway - 4 weeks of project, followed by 6 weeks of volunteering, with the possibility of paid employment with Salaam Peace and our partner networks.
