Women into Construction are delighted to announce that applications are now open for Cohort 2 of our Women into Home Building Employment Programme, in collaboration with the Home Builders Federation and 9 major homebuilders.

The programme aims to give candidates an understanding of Site Management roles in Home building and connect them with key employers in the sector.  No experience is necessary, but candidates must be 18+, have GCSE English and Maths grade 4 or equivalent and be able to commit to a full time training position should they be successful in gaining a role following the programme.

We are looking for enthusiastic women, who are willing to learn and find out more about this growing sector in construction. Our uniquely funded 3 week Online Insight Programme will prepare candidates to apply for Site Management roles within the industry.

The programme includes:

• An online Insight training week hosted by all 9 employers, HBF and WiC
• 2 weeks on-site work placement in locations across England
• 1-2-1 support, provided by WiC, including travel and childcare expenses whilst on placement
• Guaranteed interview and feedback from your host employer, following successful completion of the work placement

Candidates should be able to commit to the 3-week full time training programme. Locations available nationwide for Cohort 2 are listed on the application form.  WiC will provide travel expenses and support towards childcare during the placement, however candidates will need to arrange own transportation and childcare if required.
