What is The NCS Programme? NCS – bcfforum
The National Citizen Service is the flagship Government initiative aimed at 16 to 17 year olds which offers the chance to take part in a bespoke programme that is challenging, fun and develops skills and confidence.
Through engaging in NCS we want young people to:
• Become world-ready and work-ready
• Have greater confidence, resilience and wellbeing
• Feel able to have an impact on the world
• Have respect and tolerance for difference and diversity
The experience is all about empowering young people, giving them an experience of discovering what life may involve, without all the responsibility!
Bromley Children and Families Forum are delivering the Local Community Experience which includes:

 'CHANGE IT' - Join us for 3 days over the summer holidays to carry out social action in your community! You'll take part in an introductory, adventure day followed by two days of making change. Check out the dates below:
Theatre 62 Team Building Day - Monday 29th July  (Day 2: 5.8.24 Day 3: 12.8.24)
Paddleboarding Team Building Day - Thursday 1st August  (Day 2: 8.8.24 Day 3: 15.8.24)
Laser Tag Team Building Day - Tuesday 6th August (Day 2: 13.8.24 Day 3: 20.8.24)
 
'LIVE IT' - During the 'LIVE IT' phase, you'll be trying out new life skills in a variety of interactive and inspiring sessions covering first aid (both physical and mental health), cooking,  public speaking, finances, communication and more!
 
'BOSS IT' - You'll take part in business masterclasses designed to get your creativity flowing, build your confidence and grow your employability skills. Attend our 'Speedy CV' event in October half term to get your CV up-to-scratch for the Christmas hiring season!
