Change Project

 
 

‘This project is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.’

The Change Project helps young people aged 16-24 who are not in work, education or training, providing a holistic approach to develop interpersonal skills. Helping you to gain knowledge, experience, and qualifications that will enable you to move into sustained employment, education, or training. The change project is here to give you a helping hand. When you join us, you are paired with a dedicated change maker mentor who will support your journey on the programme.

The project will be tailored to your needs, offering support in several areas:

Change future

This is made up of enrichment activities, qualifications and is there to support your aspirations. Support under change future could include: employability, money management, functional skills, CSCS card, first aid, manual handling, and food hygiene.

Change me​

Focusing on personal development including mental health, self-esteem and volunteering. Delivery of this is via personalised mentoring provided by our change maker mentors.

Change lifestyle

Exploring ways to enhance physical health, including sleep patterns, exercise, healthy eating habits. Support is available face-to-face, or via written guidance.

Change relationships

Considers how successful relationships are made and kept, delivered through cognitive behavioural mentoring (CBM). Offering 3-9 sessions of action-focused mentoring which helps to tackle negative perceptions or post-pandemic struggles.

Enable and succeed

The change project can provide you with a job coach who can support you during a 12-week work placement programme. We can then offer help with building relationships with job brokers helping you to secure opportunities in the workplace.
