We have an after-school programme every Monday for young people to engage with creative enrichment activities open to 10–18-year-olds from Tower Hamlets and neighbouring boroughs.

The sessions will provide an opportunity to join, our:

• Creative Activities
• Youth Excursions
• Social Action Projects
• Training and Development Workshops
• Work Experience Placement
• Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme

The sessions will align our work with Skills Builder Partnership which is is a global movement of employers, educators, and impact organisations working together to ensure that one day, everyone builds the essential skills to succeed.

Essential skills unlock learning in the classroom, boosting academic outcomes, perseverance, and self-belief. They halve the likelihood of being out of work and increase earnings across a lifetime. They even boost wellbeing and life satisfaction.

These skills underpin an individual’s success at each stage in life and support all young people in developing their independence. We will focus on four essential skills day during the sessions:

• Speaking - The oral transmission of information or ideas.
• Listening - The receiving, retaining and processing of information or ideas.
• Teamwork - Working cooperatively with others towards achieving a shared goal.
• Creativity - The use of imagination and the generation of new ideas.
