🎧 Archive Sessions at Meltdown – Free Creative Sessions for Young People
Are you aged 18–30 and interested in music, sound, or storytelling? Southbank Centre is offering free creative sessions as part of the Archive Sessions at Meltdown Festival.
These workshops are a chance to explore music archives, experiment with sound and audio production, and co-create work alongside professional artists. Whether you’re a budding producer, poet, or just curious about creativity, these sessions are a brilliant way to gain new skills, meet like-minded people, and get hands-on experience in a supportive, inspiring space.
Each year we welcome an iconic artist to the Southbank Centre to curate their own festival, showcasing their interests and influences on our stages. Our Meltdown archive holds material from every year, from Grace Jones’ outfits to photographs of John Peel and programmes from Massive Attack’s concert.
Why get involved?
It’s completely free
You’ll work with professional artists and creatives
No experience needed – just bring your ideas and curiosity
It’s a great way to build skills, confidence, and community
Perfect for young adults in Lambeth & Southwark who want to explore music, sound, and cultural storytelling.
