Bromley Changes (Young People's Drug and Alcohol Service)

Bromley Changes (Young People's Drug and Alcohol Service) - formerly known as Bypass - offers a range of treatment and support services for young people aged up to 18 who have concerns about their drug or alcohol use and are residents or have links in the borough of Bromley.

Bromley Changes is a drug and alcohol support service consisting of experienced drug and alcohol workers who specialise in working with young people.

We offer:

  • Confidential advice and information for young people up to the age of 18
  • Support to help you make informed decisions about your drug and alcohol use
  • Support to help you cut down or stop using drugs or alcohol
  • Assessment of your specific needs
  • One-to-one sessions and group work
  • Appointments at a convenient location Gateway to other services
  • Drop-in services across the borough (please contact us for more details)
  • Advice and information for parents and carers
  • Male and female workers

We hold satellites in various schools across the borough of Bromley, and we attend all schools through the Your Choice Your Voice programme, which we are looking to promote through workshops and assemblies.

We also work in close partnership with a variety of other services such as

  • sexual health
  • housing
  • life skills
  • education and employment

Bromley Changes provides a comprehensive range of services including:

  • Recovery Work
  • POD work
  • Group work interventions
  • Hepatitis C testing and Hepatitis B vaccination
  • Family and carer support services
  • A comprehensive recovery programme
  • PSHE support for staff in schools
  • Drug and alcohol training for professionals
  • Services in Bromley
  • CAMHs and Bromley YOS
  • Peer mentor and volunteering opportunities

Bromley Changes can accept referrals from the Bromley Community WellBeing Service, Bromley Youth Offending Service as well as other agencies, including self-referrals.

After which we will undertake a comprehensive assessment of a young person’s needs.

We are an outreach team so we can arrange to meet with you at a specific location such as at school, Youth Centres, Children Centres, home visits as well as at other locations in that a comprehensive assessment takes place.

Young people who have been through this assessment process can be referred by partner agencies.

All referrals can be made to the service by email, phone, fax or through direct face to face contact.

We can receive self referrals direct from young people, parents (with young person’s consent) as we are a voluntary service.
