Hillingdon Carers is the leading charity in the London Borough of Hillingdon, delivering high quality advice and support to unpaid family carers.

The young carers service supports children and young people aged 5 - 24 years, living in Hillingdon, who help to care for a family member.

This may be a parent, grandparent, sibling or other family member who suffers from a physcial disability, medical condition, long term illness, mental health issue or a drug or alcohol problem.

Caring can mean practical, physical or emotional support.

Our service provides

  • weekly youth clubs
  • school holiday activities
  • trips out
  • weekends away
  • support for the whole family
  • support
  • someone to talk to
  • support with education
  • specialist support service (N-HANCE) for young adult carers aged 17 - 24 years.

N-HANCE supports young adult carers to transition from school to work, apprenticeships or further education through

  • training workshops
  • 1:1 support
  • information and advice
  • social activities.
