Rithmik is a music project for young people aged 13 to 19 (up to 25 with additional needs).

Young people can get involved in:

• Music production
• Radio Production
• Journalism
• Media
• Vocals
• Song writing.

Programmes

The Rithmik Music Studio has two open evening programmes a week:

• Mondays at Canada Villa Youth Centre

An open session offering music production, vocals, professional recording sessions and song writing.

• Tuesdays at Canada Villa

Radio Rithmik, Journalism, Media, Debates, Group Discussions and Producing.

• Wednesdays at Finchley Youth Centre

Rehearsal Space for Live performances.

Radio Rithmik:

Radio Rithmik was set up in partnership with Roundhouse to be a voice of young people in Barnet.

All young people within the project have defined roles and shows are produced on a regular basis.

The music studio is based at Canada Villa young people's centre, with outreach music sessions taking place at other centres in the borough.

Regular activities include:

• Open drop-in sessions for all abilities
• Running an internet radio station
• Foundation and academy courses
• Journalism and Media
• Debates and group discussions
• Public speaking
